Anita is a clinical nurse specialist and director of the Nurses Improving Care of the Health System Elder (NICHE) program at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. Anita is an adjunct faculty at the University of Akron where she serves as a clinical preceptor for graduate students in gerontological and orthopaedic nursing. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and a recipient of the Delta Omega Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Excellence in Nurse Mentoring and the Excellence in Nursing Practice awards. Anita is also a Past President of NAON and one of the founding members of the ICON.
